The Odissi dance, evolved from a form of temple dance by dancers called devadasis  is an amazing form of joyful reverberation. The inherent eroticism in the sculpted figures of the devas and devis speak volumes of the ethereal balance between the concepts of spiritual evolution with sexual freedom and maturity.

The main language of this land is Odiya, there existing a number of dialects of the same. There is a huge population of aadivaasis, right from the days of Mahabharata.
